En: Training VS Real life
Self defense training - training session is a good
opportunity to improve your quality ,your personal skill ,reflexes in any
martial art style or just a base self- defense training. The Instructor has a huge responsibility ,not just to train
,but to drag all coursant’s attention to the main and principal objective –
real life situations . Thru a sessions or two you are not prepared to face the
daily unpredicted danger ,this will not drive to acquire experience ,do not make this common
mistake, experience is gained in lot of years involving ,,front line’’ presence. This is why, a instructor background, is more that important and
crucial to the student’s knowledges , as bigger of the instructor presence in
the ,,front line’’, and not just in Gym’s or fighting ring ,the better. As a
small comparacy between gym training and
real life ,I’ve personally see MMA,Judo Master Knocked Out by a inexperienced,
untrained guy with fear or nerves in his blood, in the during my staying in the Fast Intervention Squad. The ,,front line’’ is different that a
gym trained session of self-defense,the rules changes in no rules,be aware about that fact.
Bodyguard Training –
this is different subject ,is not involving your protection but other
people(VIP or not)protection so you have a high responsibility and a huge
mission to accomplish . Obviously a self-defense or a MMA experience is a
required at a medial level. The personal experience in the field is a base
from where you can show ,to the client ,that you can handle and indeed you are
the moral support and not just the shield in front of danger. Without any add ,
dayly preparation and more hard training that a basic self defense, is
obligatory to maintain the same line of professional and quality as a Personal
Bodyguard.
The weapon
manipulation is require as well as the experience with weapon’s (up to 9mm
caliber) ,either way if is a Berreta,Glock Ruger ,Sig Sauer,Colt…etc the knowledge’s
with etch and every one of them is a must have ,without mentioning how your
personal fire result are under stress and hostile situation.
The psychological
status and reaction to nerves and crowd control ,in a proportional scale with
the action that he will take with a future review of the consequence ,more
important and always under the legislation. So
a lot of require for this position, more than a personal training.
Close Protection Training
– here we pass thru a more deeper and professional field. Training in this
branch cannot be done without a former experience (military in essence) where
the character and preparation ,as well as the discipline ,are well implemented
in the behavior, thinking ,action’s ,reaction’s, language and psychological
level. The training is more pulsed on the ballistic and weapon manipulation,
fast reaction’s and perfection of movement to achieve the fast and accurate solution
in front of hostile environment ,situation , more that just a self-defense or
base bodyguard Training. The instructor’s in this training is has to be with a
high experience not just in MMA technic’s but also in military tactic’s, weapon
ballistic ,critical survival lesson’s in hostile environment , psychological
war and interpretation of it; the
instructor train’s a professional group ,his job is to direct the group in to a
specific VIP Close protection job essence, and share his experience(from Real Life,
and real mission’s)to a already trained and experimented character.
T he final conclusion : training in any field don not give the experience in real life-improve your qualities, approach you more closer to the real hostile action but only by faceing this danger (personal ,bodyguard duty, Close Protection assignment’s or high risk mission)can have\ will gain experience. Take a good look at the Instructor’s past, background , and compare what is the best choice for your personal or professional training and do not believe that after a training you are ready for the real life violent challenges , problem's ,especially Bodyguard,CPO mission's.
