About Urban Survival Systems®

Urban Survival Systems® is a community dedicated to exploring and educating people in the reality of streetfighting.U.S.S.® was formed 15 years ago by personnel protection specialist and fighter Edward Wong. People in the field of security, law enforcement, military and street fighting make up U.S.S.® .We are group run by people who had years of street experience and, not by theoretical application of traditional martial arts. Hardcore training and being open minded to more practical and realistic martial arts training is of the utmost importance in U.S.S.® We always strive to become a more efficient "fighting machine".

About Edward Wong

Guro Edward Wong is one of the most respected personnal protection specialists and combatives instructors in Canada for over 20 years experience in Filpino, Russian,Indonesian and Israeli martial arts.His many credentials include full instructor in Ikatan Kali and Silat under Guro Louie Lindo with direct lineage to the late Pendekar Herman Suwanda of Mande Muda Silat.

Guro Wong also hold instructor ranking in Sambo and Krav Maga under Coach Vadim Slavin,who is a Master Of Sport and a pioneer in the field of Canadian Sambo.

Finally,Guro Wong was also a student of the late Jesse Glover(Bruce Lee's First student and assistant instructor) and a Renegade Kettlebell specialist under Coach John Davies.

Guro Wong is also the founder and head instructor of Modern Cimande and Urban Survival Systems.
