     A hotel by its very nature is open to the public; nevertheless it can attract criminal activity. In a world of uncertainty and complex business environment, hotels are admitted as soft targets leading security a great concern than ever before.The security risk involving in ,,Hotel'' Business Area are on a various scale ,on different aspects:physical property,hotel’s assets,personnel,keeping employee’s safe,guest safety,emergency safe plan,the VIP Area or ITC(Informational System Security) issues.
    Some Hotels Manager consider security as a priority, particularly when faced with today's global security challenges,and implemets proactive security programs that are integral to the operations of the hotel,beside the ordinary fire prevencion with minimal damage,evacuation plan,personel trainings and guest quality service.
  Trained hotel staff, responsible and accountable for looking after the security issues it is a choice but not always the best one,the professionality of how to handle a security problem or the legal and ethical respounce in to a real situation may harm the client opinion about the hotel security level.The staff in a hotel is prefessional on his working ground\area,the choice of Hotel Manager,in front of today economical situation,to add another responsibility on the staff-more security, in balance with dayly activities ,as a new statistic by Economic Productivity Asc. the result goes to slowing down the productivity,atencion and not having the best rating on the new responsibility-Security management.
     Advanced security technologies to facilitate safeguarding of security, such as; integrated surveillance systems, advanced lock and access control systems, and sophisticated asset protection tools,personel individual entrance card categorized on Limited Acces level ,give to hotel guests the safety feeling,and a good impression about the quality service and rating on the Hotel.Rigorous security and safety assessments is not just for the guest's ,a lot of hotel have issues with their own staff(even when they don't recognise),ITC problems,and implementing professional measure and organizing meetings,congress from a high security point of view.
     Providing an accommodating atmosphere that doesn't compromise safety is the biggest challenge that hotels face. Achieving these goals requires a multifaceted plan that starts with proffessional Security service and guest education about safety and security issues. Management must also consistently enforce established security policies, such as allowing only registered guests on hotel property. Constant planning to stay ahead of these issues is also a must, especially when the hotel hosts public events.
    Controlling access is an important part of hotel security planning to prevent criminals from stealing money and valuables from guest rooms. Management must be aware that this situations is a real problem,with a real bad effect on the hotel rating's. During off-hours, qualified security personnel should be stationed at all main access points to greet people, while deterring anyone with no business on the property, including disruptive or intoxicated non-guests.
    Security Manager has a responsibility to educate guests about safety and security responsibilities. The challenge is getting the message across without negatively affecting the customer's experience. For example, locking hotel room doors to prevent strangers from entering,discourage guests from actions that leave them vulnerable to thieves, such as flashing room keys or yelling room numbers across the lobby.
    Technology in a hotel has come a long way in helping hotels to upgrade basic security measures. Closed-circuit TV cameras with recording systems are essential for securing such busy public spaces as bars, docks, lounges, and parking lots. However, these areas also allow open access for disruptive persons, muggers and pickpockets. Active monitoring of the camera images, field Security Guard's, lighting on every area of the hotel property reduces the opportunities for such crimes. Offering a security concierge to escort guests also minimizes the risk of non-assaultive crimes, such as luggage thefts or worst kidnaping,threat,crime.
  The ITC security is also a important factor that can drive a individual,fanatic or criminal organization knowing details about the hotel structure,entrance or presence of a specific public character etc.The first and high percentage of ITC leaks is the human error ,in another words the administration and front desk personnel who have access to a level of classified intel.The Security Manager must be aware of this leeks,because they are -voluntary or involuntary -and prevent any other vital information leaks, regarding private detail of a VIP guest,hotel structure, managerial organization etc.This leks can be ,and are the base of a future criminal plan or getting closer of a VIP private life by stoker's, scandal mass media.
   Security measures becomes even more important at public events such as conventions, where travelers may feel as if they're leaving real world dangers behind, and this cannot be accomplished with improvising personnel or hotel unprepared staff.
   Hotel security staff is only as good as the level of professionalism, who serve as management's eyes and ears ,with the aim of ensuring a consistent, professional response to all security emergencies.
