Some say they want to do Close Protection Officer , however if you come into this industry thinking you will be working from 9 to 5 you may be in for a bit of a culture shock. For example here’s a snapshot from last week:
Wednesday: Protection Assignment strating from 12 pm end time 4am,all the time standing next to my client.
Thursday: 6am flight. Protection Assignment. Full day. Hit the ground running. Assignment end: 4am .
Friday and Saturady : 6am flight. Two Full Days on a Convention with our crew-no sleep for 48 hours for all our guys including my) finish at 8am Sunday morning.
Sunday: 12 am flight out of the country-steward waked me up after the plane landed.

As a small review 6 days -more than 48 hour continous with no sleep-2 flights-4 clients-beside the small problems and unpredicted situation like :delayed flights,sitting in airport for more than 10 hours,eating,shower and coffee on the run.
Beside that is not a peaceful job where you can have a 5 min timeout for a break whenever you want ,if you are sitting next to your client you have to be in alert all the time.Don't let your brain haveing a pause moment, because that's the moment when all bad things happens and you cannot afford any mistakes in this working area, your reputation as a Cpo or company is a important factor that contributes to all future contracts.
One day I’m going to leave my cell phone at home,throw away my notebook, find a quiet place on a mountain lake, take a book and a pole with me and just wait for fish to jump on my hook-and that's just once at 3 4 years for a couple of days.
